Using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes feature or Google Docs so no changes are made without your approval, my goal is to enhance and improve your manuscript while retaining your voice. I only work on one book at a time, putting my full attention and heart into every book I am a part of. If my name is on your book, I want it to be the best book possible!!
- No need to pay for multiple editors/proofreaders as I provide it all! From developmental and content editing to structural, copy and line editing, I do it all for one low rate! This includes correction of any awkward constructions, suggestions regarding flow of ideas, ensuring smooth transitions, refining sentence structure, removing any repetition and more. I review all key aspects of the manuscript including the narrative, vocabulary, structure, characterization, plotting, story architecture, character motivation, tone, style, development, etc.. On top of that, I also provide a thorough proofread!
- $.009/word is my starting rate. Before we create a contract, I will provide you with a FREE sample edit so I can determine exactly what your needs are, and you can see what I do.
- I provide a complete proofread which includes a meticulous, word-by-word check to correct typos, spelling errors, grammatical and linguistic errors, consistency issues, and punctuation mistakes while also ensuring that Chicago Manual of Style guidelines are followed.
- Unlike most proofreaders, if I see something that isn’t incorrect but would sound better with a different word, I’ll tell you! I’ll also recommend when to trim sentences, flag any repetition and notate any larger issues I come across.
- $.005/word is what I charge for manuscripts that have already been professionally edited.
- Using my experience as an editor and avid reader, I will provide you with in-depth feedback on your characters, plot and overall writing. Because this is not an edit, I will not critique every word or sentence; you’ll receive a report, yet I will highlight specific examples as needed.
- If you reside in America, you have the option of paying via PayPal‘s “friends and family program” so neither of us are charged any PayPal fees. If you don’t wish to use that program, require a PayPal-issued invoice, or do not reside in the USA, you are responsible for paying all PayPal fees.
- I accept Paypal, Venmo, payment by check, Wise, wire transfers and more.
